1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of talandrixa.com, including articles, visual assets, policy pages, source links and interactive presentation features. By accessing or using the website, you agree to be bound by the version of these Terms in effect at that time.

If you do not agree, do not use the website. If you use Talandrixa on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation. “You” then includes both you and that organisation where the context permits.

These Terms operate alongside the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Responsible Gambling information. If a specific written agreement signed by Talandrixa expressly conflicts with these public Terms, the signed agreement controls to the extent of that conflict.

2. About the service

Talandrixa is an independent editorial publication covering casino-industry news, regulation, technology, manufacturers, equipment, events and integrated-resort development. Its intended geographic audience is New Zealand, while its reporting scope is global.

Search-engine indexing consistent with robots.txt, accessibility tools and reasonable non-commercial research are not prohibited merely because they are automated, provided they do not create security, availability or intellectual-property harm.

6. Editorial content and corrections

Sources and attribution

We aim to distinguish established fact, attributed company statements, forward-looking targets and editorial inference. Primary-source links are provided where practical. A link is not a warranty that the source is complete, current or independent.

Changing information

Original visual concepts

Some editorial images are AI-generated concept artwork and are captioned as such. They illustrate a topic and must not be treated as documentary evidence, a construction photograph, a product specification or an authorised rendering of a named project.

7. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, Talandrixa or its licensors own the website design, selection and arrangement of content, original text, brand elements, code and original editorial artwork. These materials are protected by copyright, trade mark and other applicable laws.

“Talandrixa”, its wordmark, favicon and distinctive visual identity may not be used to suggest origin, endorsement or affiliation without prior written permission. Names and marks of companies, projects, products and events mentioned in reporting belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary.

No ownership rights are transferred to you. Permitted personal use does not include republishing full articles, selling copies, licensing a dataset derived from the site, training a commercial content-reproduction system on substantial protected expression, or removing attribution.

To request syndication, image licensing or another use beyond an applicable statutory exception, email editor@talandrixa.com before use. Describe the material, context, territory, format and duration.

8. Communications and submissions

If you send a correction, news tip, document, comment or other communication, you confirm that you are entitled to send it and that doing so does not knowingly infringe another person’s rights or breach a legal duty.

You retain ownership of original material you submit. You grant Talandrixa a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, store, reproduce and use the submission as reasonably necessary to evaluate it, communicate with you, verify a story, obtain advice and publish agreed or lawfully reportable information. We will not identify a confidential source contrary to an express commitment, subject to law and the limits explained at the time.

Do not send unlawfully obtained material, malware, threats, payment credentials, gambling account passwords or unnecessary sensitive personal information. Mark a request for confidentiality clearly before disclosing confidential detail. Email is not guaranteed secure, and sending an unsolicited message does not automatically create a confidential-source relationship, professional relationship or obligation to publish.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where mandatory law applies, these Terms operate subject to that law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talandrixa and its editors, contributors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the site, reliance on content, an external website, data loss, lost opportunity, lost revenue or business interruption.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any liability arising from fraud or wilful misconduct to the extent the law prohibits exclusion. The allocation of risk in this section reflects that the site is a free, general-information publication and does not enter transactions on a reader’s behalf.

You remain responsible for independent verification and for decisions made after reading. In particular, Talandrixa is not responsible for gambling losses, operator disputes or financial decisions merely because an industry entity or product was mentioned in editorial coverage.

13. Privacy and browser storage

The Privacy Policy explains what limited personal information may be handled through technical delivery and correspondence. The Cookie Policy lists the localStorage values used for the age acknowledgement and colour theme.

Do not submit another person’s personal information unless you have authority or a lawful reason to do so. Access to the public site does not create a Talandrixa account or gambling profile.

14. Changes, suspension and termination

We may revise these Terms to reflect legal, technical, security or editorial changes. The effective date and version will be updated. Material changes will be presented with reasonable prominence where practicable and apply prospectively from their stated effective date.

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect security, availability, legal rights, readers or third parties, or where these Terms are materially breached. Provisions that by nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law and accrued rights — continue after access ends.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory right to bring a matter elsewhere, the courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

Before beginning formal proceedings, you and Talandrixa should make a reasonable good-faith attempt to resolve the issue through written notice. The notice should identify the relevant page or conduct, the legal or factual basis, the outcome sought and a reply address. This informal step does not prevent urgent interim relief or require a person to miss a statutory deadline.

Nothing in this section limits a right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, another regulator, a law-enforcement body or an independent support service.

16. General provisions

Severability

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions continue.

No waiver

A delay or failure to enforce a provision does not waive that provision or a later breach.

Assignment

You may not transfer rights or obligations under these Terms without written consent. Talandrixa may transfer them as part of a genuine reorganisation or transfer of the publication, subject to applicable law.

Headings

Headings and summaries aid navigation and do not override the operative text.

Entire agreement

These Terms and the policies incorporated by reference form the agreement concerning ordinary public use of the site, except where a specific signed agreement applies.

Language

The governing version is English. A translation, if later provided, is for convenience unless expressly stated otherwise.
